Director of Happiness

Meet Nori

Nori is not a chiropractor. She has no credentials whatsoever. She is, however, very good at her job.

Part of the Family, Part of the Practice

Nori belongs to Dr. Mike, which made her part of the family long before it made her part of the practice.

She comes in with him for the occasional shift. Not every day, and not on any schedule we could promise you, so if you were hoping to meet her it is worth asking at the front desk whether she is in.

Her Other Job

These days most of her hours go somewhere else. There is a new baby at home, and Nori has appointed herself to supervise.

So when she is not looking after her baby brother, she is here.

She reserves the side eye for people who say they will do their exercises at home.

She Is Good at People

Nori is calm around new people and genuinely good with children, which is less something you train into a dog and more something you get lucky with.

She will not jump on you. She will not follow you into a treatment room. She mostly wants to be acknowledged, and then she will go and lie down somewhere with a view of the door.

If you have kids with you and they are nervous about the appointment, she is a reasonably effective distraction.

She does have one tell. If you catch her looking at you sideways, you have probably just said you will do your exercises at home.

Not a Dog Person? That Is Completely Fine

Plenty of people are allergic. Plenty had a bad experience with a dog years ago and never quite got over it.

Plenty just came in for their back and would like to get on with it. Any of those is a good enough reason. Mention it when you book, or tell whoever is at the front desk when you arrive, and she will be somewhere else before your appointment starts.

You will not need to explain yourself and nobody will think anything of it.

Say Hi to Nori

If you see her around, say hi. She will have been waiting for someone to.
